Among the festivals celebrated by some of Asian people is the Moon Cake Festival, also known as the Mid-August Festival or the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is celebrated on the night of the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. On this night, people walk in the streets to enjoy themselves. They eat moon cakes which are so called because they are shaped like the moon. These cakes are set on a table in the open air, mean to be eaten by god or goddess of the moon.
